If your washer isn’t working, try these steps:
- Make sure the power cord is properly plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Check the circuit breaker or fuse in the fuse box and reset it if needed.
- Select your desired cycle by turning the control knob, close the lid, and pull out the knob to start.
- If your washer has feather-touch buttons, press them firmly.
- Ensure the lid is fully closed for the washer to stir or spin safely.
- If the lid switch is faulty, it may prevent the washer from spinning while the lid is open. In this case, the built-in brakes will stop the washer until the lid switch is repaired or replaced.
