Interio by Godrej Launches Experience Centre in Lucknow, targeting 15% growth from Its Institutional Furniture Business in North India

Lucknow, April 13, 2025: Interio by Godrej, a leading furniture brand from the Godrej Enterprises Group, has launched an Experience Centre in Lucknow to deepen its institutional furniture presence across Uttar Pradesh and North India. Spanning 3,300 sq. ft., the centre is designed to serve corporates, educational institutions, healthcare facilities and government bodies across the region. 

Uttar Pradesh contributes 25% of Interio's institutional furniture sales within North India. With a current revenue of ₹75 crore from the state, Interio continues to focus on key segments including SME, BFSI, education, corporate, and MNC clients, catering to the growing demand for dynamic and hybrid workspaces.

Speaking on the launch, Sameer Joshi, Senior Vice President and Head of B2B Business, Interio by Godrej, said: “Lucknow is emerging as a strong market for institutional and corporate infrastructure, with investments coming in across key sectors. Organisations are modernising their workspaces and there is growing demand for furniture solutions that are ergonomic, modular, and built for how people work today. In Uttar Pradesh, we are seeing this shift accelerate, driven by urban development, industrial expansion, and increased institutional spending. Through this Experience Centre, we aim to be a true partner to our clients, from planning through to execution. We are targeting 21% market share in Northern India's institutional furniture segment by FY28.”

India's institutional office furniture market is expected to reach USD 5.21 billion in 2026, growing at 8-11% CAGR, driven by hybrid work models, infrastructure expansion and rising demand for ergonomic workspaces. The ergonomic seating and workstations contributes nearly 60% of sales in this category. Education and healthcare are equally active and expected to grow at 10.3% CAGR between 2025 and 2032, while schools are steadily shifting toward flexible, ergonomic designs suited to modern learning environments. The customer across all categories are moving toward engineered wood, metal frames and sustainable materials, complying with the latest quality standards (BIS/ISI).Interio by Godrej currently operates seven Experience Centres across India and plans to launch five Experience Centres in high-growth markets. The brand continues to collaborate with local industries and government bodies on large-scale projects across the zone, delivering solutions that support productivity and workplace well-being.
