Conscious Collective 2024: Driving a Sustainable Future
Over 11,000 attendees, groundbreaking installations, and thought-provoking conversations marked the second edition of Godrej Enterprises Group’s flagship event
Mumbai, December 19, 2024 – The second edition of Conscious Collective, Godrej Enterprises Group’s flagship sustainability initiative, concluded with resounding success, setting new benchmarks in promoting a conscious and sustainable lifestyle. Held on December 14-15, 2024, the event attracted over 11,000 attendees underscoring a growing collective commitment toward sustainable living and innovative solutions. Under the theme “Bridging Horizons for a Sustainable Future”, the event brought together leading voices, visionary collaborators, and conscious consumers. The stellar lineup featured 60+ speakers and collaborators, 25 installations, 15 talks, 10+ workshops, and an exclusive showcase of 17 sustainable retail brands, making it an unmissable event for advocates of sustainability and innovation.
Esteemed organizations such as Charles Correa Foundation, Raw Collaborative, and industry stalwarts like Channa Daswatte, Kai-Uwe Bergmann, Chitra Vishwanath, Dr. Ken Yeang, among others, were also a part of the event. Over 3,000 architects and designers participated, solidifying the event’s role as a hub for sustainable architecture and design. Close to 40 conscious start-ups presented pioneering ideas and products, contributing to a growing ecosystem of sustainable innovation. Interactive Creative workshops engaged over 500 children in activities like clay modeling, board games, and sustainable urban planning.
This year, Godrej Design Lab in association with Council of Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), released a Conscious Trend Report -’Building a Climate Conscious India: Scalable solutions for a low-carbon build environment’.
Attendees also explored immersive experiences, including mangrove tours, factory visits to Godrej’s Khalapur facility, and insights into the Godrej Archives and Knowledge Center. A centerpiece of the event was the immersive installations by designers Svabhu Kohli and Aaron Myles, which offered a multi-sensory journey through the biodiversity of the Western Ghats, leaving attendees inspired to take actionable steps toward preserving the planet's rich ecosystems.
This year, five projects from Godrej Design Lab fellows were showcased, with 14 new fellows selected for 2025. With its rapid growth, Conscious Collective is evolving into a cornerstone of India’s sustainability movement, fostering tangible action and collaboration.
Celebrities and influencers who attended the event included Mira Rajput Kapoor, Influencer and Co-founder of Akind, Tara Sharma, Bollywood Actress, and Dia Mirza, Miss Asia Pacific 2000, Bollywood Actress, and UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador & United Nations Secretary-General Advocate for Sustainable Development Goals. Their presence further amplified the importance of conscious living and sustainability, as they lent their voices to encourage others to join the movement. The brand also witnessed an increase in social media engagement by 50%, and a 2x spike in website traffic vis-à-vis last year.
