Tech plus guards A notable Indian trend is the move from purely guard-driven security to a blended ‘tech plus manpower’ model. Guard teams are increasingly supported by command centres that use integrated video, access logs and AI-based incident dashboards to improve response quality and reduce blind spots. According to a Tata Power spokesperson, “With rising cases of theft and break-ins across Indian cities, home automation has moved from being a lifestyle upgrade to an essential layer of home security. The modern household increasingly needs systems that offer continuous oversight, especially as families spend more time away from home due to work and travel. Today’s smart home solutions address this shift through a blend of real-time visibility, intelligent deterrence, and emergency responsiveness.”
