The key difference between telescopic drawer channels and what are generally referred to as "normal" or "standard" drawer channels lies primarily in their extension capability, mechanism, and load capacity.
Telescopic Drawer Channels (Ball Bearing Slides): Full Extension (or Over-Extension)-The drawer pulls out completely, giving 100% access to the contents at the back. Multi-section (typically 3-piece) rails slide on miniature steel ball bearings. High to Very High load capacity (e.g., 45 kg to 100+ kg). Ideal for heavy kitchen drawers, file cabinets, or industrial use.
Normal/Standard Drawer Channels (Roller Slides): Partial Extension (75% to 85% maximum)-The back portion of the drawer remains inside the cabinet. Two-section rails slide on plastic or nylon rollers/wheels. Low to Moderate load capacity (e.g., 20 kg to 30 kg). Suitable for lightweight drawers like those in dressers or desks.
