We tested multiple Indian handloom fabrics in our Front Load Washing Machines in the Gentle wash cycle at 600 RPM. The fabrics were washed along with regular clothes just like at home for 25* wash cycles. With lower spin speeds, controlled mechanical action, and multiple rinses, the wash process is designed to care for delicate fabric structures.
After each stage, the fabrics were assessed both visually and under a microscope to check for wear & tear to thread structure, fabric damage, and overall durability of the fabric.
Godrej’s AI powered front load washing machines successfully washed 25 different Indian handlooms from Kasavu silk of Kerala to Muga Silk of Assam for as many as 25* washes. The delicate thread structures examined under 40X magnification revealed that the Gentle Wash Cycle of Godrej Eon Regalis and Cresta is more than capable of handling and caring for these beautiful weaves.
